OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR: OFFICE OF THE CEO

This position mainly renders office administrative and secretariat duties to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the SALB

including but not limited to the CEO’s functions as Accounting Officer of the SALB and ex-officio member of the SALB

Board. The incumbent will render secretariat functions on a secondment basis to the Board of the SALB, and other

meetings involving the CEO, such as meetings with the (Internal and External) Auditors, the Audit Committee, Snr

Management, Management, and general staff meetings. The incumbent will also be a mentor for other staff in relation

to office assistant roles and may be called upon to render support in other sections of the library.

Minimum Requirements & Attributes

National Diploma or Degree in Office Administration, Public Administration, Business Management, or relevant field. At

least 3 years office administrative work experience of which 2 years should be in support of a Senior Manager, Director

or equivalent level position dealing with matters of a confidential nature and strategic level. Good working knowledge

in terms of the PFMA/MFMA, Treasury Regulations, SCM and related Acts and prescripts. Excellent administrative,

minute taking/secretarial and organizational skills; detail oriented and deadline driven; good English written and verbal

communication skills; intermediate or higher-level experience in the Ms Office Suite; good numeracy skills; proven

experience in having dealt with procurement and suppliers. Working knowledge of Service Level Agreements and

Memoranda of Understandings will be a distinct advantage.

Remuneration

Annual Basic Salary around R273 384 per annum (This excludes the value of other salary related fringe benefits)
