There is a general perception that blind people are not able to perform certain duties in the workplace and hence should not be appointed. Whether it is true or not – it is a perception. What is important though is the impact of such a perception. The impact in this case may be exclusion, discrimination, limitation of opportunities and to be deprived as a blind person of participating in opportunities to grow and develop on the same level as other people.
